As 2017 closes out, I can’t think of a better time to reflect on the year here at My Own Sense of Fashion. Last year’s recap focused on some of our popular posts from the year. In 2015, it was all about some of the biggest stories from the year. This year, I asked our readers about their favorite My Own Sense of Fashion posts from 2017. Find out which posts made our list this year.
At the top of the year, I highlighted Gulf Coast Fashion featuring two of my fellow local blogging friends Sarah Israel Levey of The Southern Atelier & Jessica Shelter of Life Fashion Styling. It was one of our most viewed posts of 2017.
We took a break from our usual fashion related content for this post. It is important to find time to take care of yourself especially with everything that took place this year. Special thanks to HeyAprill for showing this post love by sharing it with her audience.
Our readers enjoyed her 1st guest post so much last year we had to invite Guest Blogger Aniqa Tahsin again this year.
In addition to being another popular post from this year, we had the opportunity to be part of great fashion for a cause event.
The response to this interview was amazing and I really loved how it turned out. I love interviews because I get to meet new people and showcase talented people to our readers.
This is one of our favorite fashion events to cover each year and it seems like the readers felt the same way.
Blogger Life Series II
Our reader Rachael expressed that the second installment of the series was her favorite. We covered topics such as collaboration tips, building a blogging tribe, choosing social media platforms, & topic selection.
5 Fall Fashion Capsule Must-Haves (Guest Blogger Peter Minkoff)
This year we handed over the reins for our annual Fall Fashion post to our second guest blogger Peter Minkoff. It was another hit among you the readers.
Our reader Karlene suggested this post as her favorite from this year. Honestly, we are such huge fan of bridal fashion that we look forward to the latest trends from each season.
The last post on our list comes from our reader Rishele. From our own experience, it is not always the easiest to find the perfect gift for the guy in your life.

Books should never be banned
Books are boons, and thus they should never be banned. Banning books can cause more harm than good to readers and their curiosity. Unfortunately, many books and literature have been banned in many nations. Books like The Communist Manifesto have been banned in many major countries globally, including the USA and South Korea.
These topics described here are some of the most controversial and exciting topics.
