We here at My Own Sense of Fashion are not only big on fashion, but worthy causes as well. Of course, we are happy when we can share an event that combines both. Walk- Through Gallery is hosting their “Scars of Victory” Showcase on Saturday, November 5th in New York City at the ImageNation Cinema and Music for the People Gallery on 2031 Adam Clayton Powell Blvd. (121st & 122nd St.) New York, NY 10027 from 10am-4pm.

Guest Speaker Paulette Leaphart

The showcase will consist of fashion, beauty businesses, fashion stylists, and art. In addition, this event also celebrates breast cancer and abuse survivors. One of the guest speakers for this event is Paulette Leaphart, who walked over 1000 miles topless to not only show women who have had a mastectomy that faith and determination will help accomplish monumental things in their life but to also address congress about passing a bill to ensure all have access to medical treatment.
