Give Thanks- Getting Ready for Thanksgiving

 
      
 Can you believe Thanksgiving is two weeks away?  Whether you are staying close to home or traveling there are lot things to prepare for the holiday.  Here are a few quick tips to help you out.

Keep Yourself Entertained While Traveling

No matter what your method of travel is be sure to have activities just in case you are stuck in traffic or your flight is delayed.  A good book or puzzle will definitely come in handy.

Bring a Hostess Gift or Dish 


If you are visiting or traveling you can always bring a hostess gift or dish.  The gift doesn’t have to be extravagant or expensive.  Great hostess gifts are bottle openers, a nice bottle of wine, candles and etc. You can also bring a dish. Just ask the hostess ahead of time so you don’t a duplicate.

Make A List & Bring Coupons

Some of us who are sticking close to home will also be preparing Thanksgiving dinner. Make a list of you much needed ingredients before you head out to the store.  This way you won’t be overwhelmed and can check them out as you go. Also, don’t forget to bring your coupons to save at checkout.

Don’t Forget the Kid’s Table

      If you are hosting this year's festivities don’t forget about your guest with kids.   Make the kid’s table somewhere where they want to sit. Have kid friendly activities (. i.e. parchment paper). Also, serve the desserts that they will be sure to enjoy.


Be Safe and Have a Game Plan for the Holiday Sales


           Before you brave the lines and crowds of Black Friday make sure you have a game plan for the best deals.  A lot of retailers release their Black Friday ads early so you should definitely check them out. Also, make sure you shop with caution. The crowds can be hectic especially when it comes to sales. 

 If you don’t want to deal with all that you can also shop online or support your local business owners on Small Business Saturday. Be on the lookout for a certain blog for a deal. We will keep you posted on the awesome deals including ours.
