A Brand New Start- Goals for 2017

We have ushered in another year. The beginning of the year presents everyone with a brand new start and endless possibilities. Last year I start off the year with the best Plus Size Activewear Brands. However, I wanted to change it up. While I don’t personally make resolutions, I set goals that I work on accomplishing throughout the year. One of the goals is getting more organized. Here are some ways that I am working to make it happen.

Organizing an Office Area

In the last quarter of 2016, the blog, fortunately, received brand opportunities & it goes a little hectic. I am looking to purchase more storage containers and etc. for filing purposes.

Schedule Time for Behind the Scenes Work & Social Media

Any blogger will tell you that a lot of work goes into maintaining their blog. With that being said I am working on taking more time to work on behind the scenes at My Own Sense of Fashion. I have made some changes already and will continue to do so.

Planning Out Content in Advance

I have a running list of possible blog posts ideas. I can say that with the exception of 1-2 ideas I actually have used them last year. Unfortunately, I never got to them for a number of reasons. To help me avoid this problem I am scheduling blog posts with due dates.

Schedule A Writing Time

Although I have a schedule of posts dates I don’t always have a scheduled time to write. This will leave me more time for other things on the schedule.

These are some of the goals that I would like to achieve in 2017. I know it will take work, but I want to stick to it. If you have a goal you have something worth working towards.

We started off this year with our 1^st sponsored partnership with ShopStyle. Not only was it a great opportunity, but we really learned a lot. Receiving a beautiful necklace is an added perk.

Fashion and Fireworks- Chinese Fashion Designers (Images)

It was written back in February and it is still one of our highest performing posts. We were really surprised how many people responded so well to it. This was our first time not only focusing on Chinese Designers but the Chinese New Year.

Of course, I couldn’t forget our Memorial Day Blog Swap with Plus Size Fashion Stylist & Style Blogger Nanthale Collins of N.E.C. Style. It was our first time and really liked how both posts turned out. I love when I can collaborate with fellow bloggers.

Fashion Week recaps are one of my favorite posts to write. I have been covering Lakmè Fashion Week for only a few seasons. One thing that sets this fashion week apart from the rest is the emphasis on Indian fashion.

Although, man buns might not be a favorite among everyone. You can’t deny that there are in high demand for guys. Sure some guys pull them off better than others. I don’t think we have seen the last of them anytime soon.
