Last Saturday, I attended to Torrid’s Grand Opening at Shoppes at Bel Air. Accompanied by my sister, we were among several ladies who ventured out earlier that morning to take part of this event. In order to celebrate Torrid gave out gift cards ranging from $10.00 -$100 to the first 50 people in line at 10:00 am. Luckily, both my sister and I were in the front part of the line. While waiting, I had a chance to hear some stories from ladies. A woman who I didn’t get a chance to catch her name mentioned how previously she had to shop at the closest Torrid location in a different state. Although she shopped online on the website, she liked being able to actually to try on clothes before purchasing. Other ladies also shared their Torrid stories.

Once it turned 10:00 am the store manager held a basket containing unmarked gift cards which you selected as you entered the store. You were able to find out the amount at the register. Sadly, neither my sister or I selected the higher gift card. However, we each selected ones that contained $10 each. While browsing the racks, we also chatted with a young lady who was searching for her size. Both my sister & I each found a new cute top for $40. Thanks to the gift cards we only pay $20.00 plus tax. Overall, it was a great experience. The staff was very nice and helpful. However, I will say it was a little cramped due to the size of the store and a number of people in at the same. I will definitely be making another trip when they are so many people & I have more room to shop. I think it is great that we have another plus size retailer especially for my fellow ladies on the Gulf Coast. Special thanks again to Torrid and Shoppes of Bel Air.
